Well, the Fishers have come and gone from Busco... Friday there was not a big crowd at all at Busco and the MUd Club ride started around 2:30 and we rode until around 6 or 6:30... long ride around most of the park. They filmed the ride for the show, so we were constantly stopping and leap frogging the camera teams forward, so it made for a long, slow ride. I buried my 800 in a bottomless sand hole and you can look for that when the episode airs in NOV or DEC. The trails had been groomed and you could actually ride the entire park, to include the newly reopened part across from old Whitetail Landing, without even getting muddy, if you so chose. They really did fix the trails up and that is a plus for the park.

On Saturday we did a Kids Ride... probably the best thing all weekend. The kids loved it and Brian is great with them. Both Brian & Melissa are just as they appear on TV, very likable ATV enthusiasts that figured out how to make a living doing something they love... and yes, Brian is shorter than he looks on TV. They also had an ITP factory rep with displays, Performance East, and one or two other vendors. Getting to see the new ITP tires and wheels was great... the 28" Mega Mayhem is something (on-line pictures do not do it justice at all). There were Mud Club riders from PA, Ohio, and VA that also came for the weekend and we got to meet a lot of new folks.

Seems like nearly everyone with a big mud bike for 300 miles was there on Saturday parading around in front of the Fsihers' bus... plus a fair amount of jacka** riders. Want I don't think most of them realized is that Fishers have seen it all before, and to their credit, they really paid the majority of them no attention at all. They did do a lot of filming around the park, but all the riders with no shirts, bikini tops, crocs and flip flops that tried to show off in front of the cameras will never be seen on TV as Outdoor Channel requires all riders featured on the show to wear appropriate Safety gear, of which all the before mentioned is not. It was fun to sit back and watch some of the antics, but there was someone seriously hurt on one of the big sand mounds to the left at the end of the drag strip... looked like they flipped and rolled... they left in the ambulance.

Overall, it was a good two days of riding with the Fishers... something different and some national exposure for Busco. Fishers portray everywhere they visit in a positive light, but I will mention this: they were not impressed with the alcohol consumption in the park (folks were drinking and riding right by the tour bus), the piles of beer cans along the trails, the lack of a marked trail system, or at least a marked main trail,... one of the film crew mentioned they had been told that Busco was the east coasts number 1 ATV party park and they thought it lived up to that image. All in All, they said they would come back if invited again (they do get paid to come). I know they were at Creek Bottoms in Georgia in July and I meant to ask how the parks compared, but never got around to it. Some pics attached, one is me and Brian and my grandson and Brian.

Wait a minute i must be doing something wrong, they never paid me that much, actually come to think of it i always paid them to go. One time i did get in free way back in the day when i sent the pic to dirt wheels but never $25k.

Sounds like it would have been a good time especially since everything was groomed.

if memory serves me right, creek bottom is doles and is good if you like riding in cypress knees.  there were groomed trails but you can ride it all fairly quickly.  i rode several parks in ga and florida while i was working down there.
